What is Paqueing or Pacqueing ?

Paqueing or at time also written as pacqueing, is Easter (Paque/Pak) egg fighting, an activity which occurs on Easter Sunday amongst the New Orleans Creoles, Louisiana Creoles (this includes Creoles of Acadian descent, also unknown as Cajuns), and West Floridian Creoles.

How do you paque an egg?
  • 1.) Two players stand at a close distance from one another; facing each other. The distance should be at arm length from one another.
  • 2.) When both players are ready, raise your arm that has the ouef de paques in and extended your forarm to meet the opponents oeuf.
